CLEVELAND — Legendary musician Elton John will perform at Cleveland’s Progressive Field July 30, 2022, he announced on Wednesday.

A presale for American Express card holders goes on sale Wednesday at noon. General public tickets go on sale June 30 at 10 a.m.

On Wednesday, John added 31 concerts spread throughout North America and Europe to his 2022 schedule. John’s tour will conclude Nov. 22, 2022, at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

John said the concerts will be his last.

“I’m going to go out in the biggest possible way, performing at my very best, with the most spectacular production I’ve ever had, playing in places that have meant so much to me throughout my career.” John said. “Whether it’s next summer in Frankfurt or at the legendary Dodger Stadium for the grand finale in the United States, I can’t wait to see you all on the road one last time.”

The Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour started in 2018. It was intended to be a three-year capstone to John’s touring career.

In March 2020, the coronavirus pandemic forced John, like most performers, off the concert stage. John is slated to resume his tour on Sept. 1 in Berlin.

Before his visit to Cleveland, John is slated to visit Columbus on April 12, 2022. He will perform at the Schottenstein Center.

“This has been an incredible tour so far, full of the most amazing highs, and I look forward to making more wonderful memories with you at these final shows,” John said.
