AKRON, Ohio — LeBron James Jr., the 16-year-old son of NBA star LeBron James, will be playing in a summer showcase in Akron July 2 to 4.
Bronny, as the younger James is known as, will play at his father’s former high school St. Vincent-St. Mary High School’s LeBron James Arena.
The Battle was organized by LeBron James’ Lakers teammate Danny Green.
The younger James will join the Strive for Greatness U-17 squad for three games. His first game will be July 2 at 7:30 p.m., the second at 6 p.m. on July 3 and the finale will be July 4 at 1 p.m.
James will be paired with Amari Bailey who committed to UCLA in February. Bailey is considered one of the top prospects in the 2022 high school graduating class.
James is the No. 12-ranked point guard in the 2023 graduating class, according to ESPN.
In all, four games will be played on July 2, five on July 3 and three on July 4. Tickets are $25 a piece per day.
This will not be his first visit to Ohio. James played in 2019 as a freshman for Sierra Canyon High School against St. Vincent-St. Mary in Columbus’ Nationwide Arena.
