MERCER COUNTY, Ohio — The National Weather Service will conduct a storm damage survey Saturday in Mercer County to confirm if a tornado touched down in the area.

"Based on eyewitness reports and radar data, it is believed that a tornado caused damage in the Fort Recovery area of Mercer County, Ohio. The National Weather Service ground survey will seek to confirm this and determine details regarding the magnitude and location of the damage," NWS officials said in a written statement on their website.

Details of the survey plan and timing will be coordinated with the local Emergency Management Agency officials, according to NWS.

Anyone who has seen any weather-related damage should report it to the National Weather Service by calling 937-383-0031.
