The 2020 OHSAA Girls Basketball Championship came to an abrupt stop when officials decided COVID-19 posed too great of a risk to let the games happen. Many teams, especially those who there for the first time, had their hearts broken after months and years of hard work.
OHSAA officials decided to let the 2021 games continue as planned with limited capacity inside the University of Dayton Arena, mostly consisting of family members.
Next weekend will be the OHSAA boys semifinals and state championship, March 18-20 at Ohio State's St. John Arena. The championship games will be available to watch live on Spectrum News 1 and the Spectrum News app.
