Around 12:30 p.m. on March 3, the department responded to calls from shoppers and workers saying they heard gunshots inside the mall.
Security footage caught the suspects firing at each other inside Carter's and Oshkosh B'Gosh on the lower level. At the time, police believed they were still in the mall. After an extensive search and checking those who evacuated, they turned it into a city-wide search. Sgt. James Fuqua said it wasn't an active shooting and believed it was a domestic dispute.
Empty shell casings were found inside the mall, and Fuqua said they found a gun under a car in the parking lot after a tip came in from a witness.
Nobody was injured, and one kiosk had damage.
A few hours after the shooting happened, police said they identified the suspects. Then on March 4, the department released photos of the suspects, asking the public for help to verify their identities.

"We know there are many people in the community who know who these people are. We are strongly encouraging you to turn yourselves in and explain your side of the story. We just want a conclusion as quickly as possible," Fuqua said during a press conference Wednesday.
