CLEVELAND — Heavy snowfall is expected to hit around the state of Ohio, including the northeast in the Cleveland area.
According to the National Weather Service, a winter storm warning is in effect into Tuesday with northeast Ohio expected to possibly get as much as 12 inches of snowfall into Tuesday.

The City of Cleveland has declared a Snow Emergency Parking Ban effective Feb. 16 at 8 a.m. until Feb. 17 at 8 a.m. As a result, stopping, standing, and parking of vehicles will be restricted and prohibited on city streets with posted red and white signs.
Parking will be prohibited on marked snow emergency streets. They are identified as necessary for transportation, movement of food and fuel supplies, medical care, fire, health and police protection, and other vital facilities of the city.
We advise residents to stay home if possible due to the inclement weather. We’ll continue to run 40 plows to clear City streets, w/priority going to main streets, hills and bridges. We have in our supply:

Wind-chill temperatures in the Cleveland area are expected to be as low as into the single digits.
The Youngstown and Canton areas may also see some icing.
