CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Zoo isn't letting COVID-19 put a damper on the holiday season.
Its famous Wild Winter Lights holiday display will return Nov. 17 with visitor's having the option to experience it either on foot or in their own vehicles.
There will be hundreds of displays throughout the park with themes like Candyland, Santa's Workshop and the Enchanted Forest. Visitors can also enjoy special features like carousel rides, modle train displays, live music and ice carvers.
This year, the zoo is offering a drive-through option for those who may not feel comfortable during the pandemic. The zoo plans to cut capacity and all visitors must wear a mask, expect kids 6 years old or those who have health issues. Masks are not required for families in vehicles.
Starting Nov. 17, the drive-through option will be available Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The walking option will be available on Nov. 19 Thursday through Sunday, both from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The event concludes Jan. 1. The zoo encourages guests to purchase their tickets ahead of time. Tickets will be $18 for zoo members, $20 for non-zoo members, and children 2 years or younger have free admission.
As for the drive-through, it'll be $54 for each car for zoo members and $60 for non-zoo members.
