**Severe Thunderstorm Watch through 8pm for some eastern counties**
Scattered showers and storms have been able to pop up from an advancing cold front and daytime heating. During peak heating (4-7 pm) some storms could get severe with damaging winds and heavy downpours. If we start to see storms moving over the same area, there could be some flooding issues.
There is a hail threat as well but gusty winds will be our biggest issue with these storms. Storms that have already moved through northern Ohio have a history of strong winds and there have been a few reports of tree damage. Once we get past sunset, storms will lose a lot of their intensity.
Scattered showers are possible through early Friday but the trend overall will be clearing skies. Lows on Friday morning will be much cooler with some spots in the upper 50s. It will be less humid and cooler getting into the weekend with a really nice forecast for all weekend outdoor plans. Look for highs to be pretty seasonable throughout the weekend with dry skies. There is a lake breeze that will keep about a 20% chance for a shower or two in the snowbelt areas but skies will be mainly dry.
