RALEIGH, N.C. - Whether it’s eastern or western style barbeque, City Barbeque says they offer something for everyone with it’s rich blend of barbeque styles from across the region.

The Ohio-based restaurant is rapidly growing in the Tar Heel state with several locations in the Triangle and Charlotte area.

Some of the most popular items include the ‘More Cowbell’ sandwich with award-winning beef brisket topped with peppers, smoked provolone, onions, and creamy horseradish sauce piled high on Texas toast.

"We actually have people who [come in and] their sole mission is to have a cowbell. It's their favorite thing. Normally we make it with brisket, but you know what [else] it's great with?  It's great with turkey, it's great with pork, it's great with everything.  You’ve got to have it.  There's no such thing as too much cowbell,” said David Bayles, general manager of City Barbeque in North Raleigh.

‘Lo Lo’s Pulled Pork’ sandwich is another customer favorite.

It’s marinated in swine wine and topped with a creamy slaw.

"Being in North Carolina we didn't want to call it the ‘North Carolina pulled pork sandwich’ because it's sort of redundant.  So we called it a ‘Lo Lo’ and named it after the general manager in one of our stores in Charlotte.  She's been with the company forever," added Bayles.

City Barbeque adheres to the ‘smoker to plate’ philosophy.

All of the sides and desserts on the menu are made from scratch daily.

“The whole idea is ‘out of the smoker and onto the plate’.  I know what good barbeque tastes like.  I know what it looks like.  I know how it feels," Bayles said.

City Barbeque is open daily with locations in Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Garner, and Charlotte.
