COLUMBUS, Ohio — Performance Dogs of Ohio travels around the state with action-packed, high-energy tricks from man's best friend.

“Our core base is frisbee dog, but we also do agility where the dogs jump over jumps and go through tunnels," said Wesley Ryan with Performance Dogs of Ohio. "We have a flyball section. We have a high jump section. We do a free-style dance section and we’re based on one single thing, having fun with our dogs.”

Ryan believes every dog is trainable, regardless of age or breed.

Blue is Head Trainer Ashleigh Quesenberry’s rescue dog.

“Blue came from a hoarding situation so there were a bunch of dogs in the home and unfortunately, all of them had a really bad life so my friend and I actually both got her and her sister from the house,” Quesenberry said.

Blue is tug and toy motivated, but others enjoy treats.

“We practice pretty much every day or every other day and not very long, five to ten minutes for each dog. You have to keep the sessions extremely short and keep them extremely positive,” said Ryan.
