Scattered showers and a few storms will still be possible through early evening, mainly across northern and eastern Ohio. Temperatures will slowly drop into the upper 40s to lower 50s across much of the state by early Saturday morning. Much of the day Saturday will be dry and mild with showers returning from west to east by late afternoon.

1. Pence testifies before election probe grand jury: AP source

Former Vice President Mike Pence testified Thursday before a federal grand jury investigating efforts by then-President Donald Trump and his allies to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, according to a person familiar with the matter.

2. Family shares loved one's ‘Herstory,' a way to tell the legacies of women living with dementia

3. New program helps make 911 calls more efficient

A new program with Cleveland EMS has begun redirecting some 911 calls to MetroHealth. Not every call made to 911 requires emergency services to be dispatched.

4. A key inflation gauge tracked by Fed remained high in March

A key index of underlying inflation that is closely followed by the Federal Reserve remained elevated last month, keeping the Fed on track to raise interest rates next week for the 10th time since March of last year.

5. Ag Report: Farming and frost

As farmers embark on their next planting season, they are cautious of putting seed in the ground ahead of cold and wet weather conditions. The Ohio Field Office of the National Agriculture Statistics Service, through the United States Department of Agriculture, releases a Crop Progress & Condition Report.
