1. Cleveland Clinic doctor recommends getting flu shots early this year

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said up to 11% of the population gets the flu each year, and this year, doctors expect an increase in flu cases. Dr. Neya Vyas with the Cleveland Clinic encourages people to receive their flu vaccine now rather than later.

2. 'Welcome home': Obamas' official portraits unveiled at White House

Barack and Michelle Obama on Wednesday returned to the White House for the first time together since leaving office for the unveiling of their official portraits, the first ceremony of its kind in 10 years. The event was a reunion of sorts, hosted by President Joe Biden, who served as Obama’s vice president for eight years.

3. What's new, what to expect at Bengals home games this season

For their season opener on Sunday, the Cincinnati Bengals will welcome the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Jungle, although it now goes by a new name. Paycor Stadium is sure to be packed with fans of the defending AFC Champions, and that's why Bengals officials shared a few new developments and things fans should expect at home games this season.

4. UPS to hire more than 100,000 workers for the holidays

United Parcel Service said Wednesday it plans to hire more than 100,000 extra workers to help handle an increase in packages during the critical holiday season. That’s similar to the holiday seasons of 2021 and 2020.

5. Re-start: QB Jacoby Brissett, Browns in good place together

Jacoby Brissett had other options, better choices. There were definitely more stable ones for a well-respected veteran quarterback. But Cleveland, with its penchant for chaos and controversy, didn’t scare Brissett. Just the opposite.
