CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Police Department, working with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, has started their two-week Traffic Safety Enforcement Blitz, the department shared on social media.

They will be particularly focusing on distracted driving, red light violations and speeding on city streets and highways from Feb. 17 until Feb. 28. They shared that drivers will see them in areas with the most crashes, violations and complaints.

The highway patrol will handle the blitz on highways, and the police department’s traffic unit will handle the city streets.

“Each traffic stop may not yield a citation, but it will still be a valuable interaction between the public and CPD as our officers continue to raise awareness about the dangers of high-risk driving,” the post reads.
