OHIO — As of Wednesday, the Ohio Secretary of State's office reports more than 989,000 Ohioans have voted early so far for the November election.
Of the votes so far, more than 423,000 were absentee voters and more than 565,000 voted early in person.
In total, more than 1.92 million absentee ballots have been requested so far.
In the 2020 general election, nearly 2.2 million Ohio citizens voted by absentee and over 1.3 million Ohioans voted early in person, according to the Ohio Legislative Services Commission. Almost 6 million of the more than 8 million registered voters at the time participated in the election, totaling 74% turnout — the highest in the previous five elections.
Early voting is ongoing in the Buckeye State, and there's weekend voting hours starting this Saturday. Here's when Ohioans can early vote:
- Oct. 21-25: 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
- Oct. 26: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- Oct. 27: 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
- Oct. 28: 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
- Oct. 29: 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
- Oct. 30 - Nov. 1: 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
- Nov. 2: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- Nov. 3: 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
