CLEVELAND — The NBA finalized the All-Star Game rosters for the game that will be played Feb. 20 in Cleveland and for the first time in four years, the Cavaliers will be represented.

Cavs guard Darius Garland was selected for the game. In all, a total of 24 players divided evenly between the Eastern and Western conferences were picked for the game.

Garland has played a significant role in leading the Cavs back from oblivion after four consecutive losing seasons. Garland is averaging 19.8 points and 8.2 assists per game.

He is the first Cavaliers player to participate in an All-Star Game since 2018 when Kevin Love and LeBron James represented the team. Garland is 17th in Cavs history to earn a spot in the All-Star Game.

The 24 players will be split into two teams, one led by James and the other by Kevin Durant.

While a fan and player vote was used to decide the All-Star Game starters, the league’s head coaches decided the reserves for the game.
