The family-friendly event that typically draws more than 350,000 guests continues through Jan. 2, 2022.

The 33rd annual event features the Polar Bear Express, Camel Rides, photos with Santa and animated light displays that include “Holiday Rhythms Around the Watering Hole” at Conservation Lake, and “Jingle Ball" at the Shores Play Park.

Jeff Glorioso, director of events and Promotions at the Columbus Zoo, said Wildlights has grown to become one of the zoo's signature events.

"It is beloved among members of our community, who often return with their loved ones as an annual family tradition. At the Columbus Zoo, we are in the unique position where we can offer people the opportunity to spend time with one another, enjoy the magic of the lights and other festivities, and also enjoy amazing animals in outdoor and indoor habitats. There are many ways to tailor the Wildlights experience to fulfill the different needs and wishes of everyone, and we work hard to bring back favorites while also adding new special touches each year,” Glorioso said.

Wildlights activities take place from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, said Jenn Fields, a spokeswoman for the zoo.

The Zoo will be closed Thanksgiving Day and on Christmas Day, as well as for Wildlights on Christmas Eve, Fields said.

Wildlights is included with Zoo admission.

Regular admission rates apply to all guests, and admission is free for Columbus Zoo and Aquarium members.
