At Spectrum News 1, we look to highlight Everyday Heroes that make a difference in the lives of the people around them.

Stephan Wilson is the Explorer and Support Instructor at the The Primrose School of Reynoldsburg in Central Ohio.

Wilson works with kindergarteners and his students said that he encourages them to be the best that they can be.

"He tells us about honesty," five-year-old Elijah Ramah said.

"He teaches us about courage and recycling," seven-year-old Kyra Vance said. "It means you're brave."

Wilson was teaching his students how to garden Wednesday.

"It teaches them responsibility for sure. It teaches them that taking care of something is more than just throwing it in the ground and leaving it," Wilson said. "It makes me feel good that I'm making a difference in their lives."
