The winter storm warning that was in effect for the region has been allowed to expire.

Though weather conditions will begin to improve into this evening, that doesn't mean that travel conditions will.

What to Expect

Snow will taper to just some lingering flurries this afternoon, and we should be back to dry conditions tonight.

Still, wind gusts reaching up to 30 mph could lead to blowing and drifting snow. This can reduce visibilty and create hazardous driving conditions.

Pay extra attention to the roads if you have to be out and about.
