WORCESTER, Mass. - The Worcester Railers are celebrating the city's professional hockey history this weekend as the team will wear special Ice Cats jersey's for their games at the DCU Center Friday at 7:05 p.m. and Satuday at 6:05 p.m. 

Ice Cats mascots Scratch and Pounce will be on hand and on Saturday a Scratch bobblehead doll will be given out to the first 1,500 fans. 

The Railers will be celebrating over 3 decades of profesional hockey in the city with the Ice Cats, the Sharks, and Railers. The players and coaches are excited for the crowds and the celebratiion of local pro hockey. 

"Yeah it's always really cool. Obviously, we're going to get good crowds this weekend, and be able to honor those that played here before us," said Railers Captain Anthony Repaci. "Worcester hockey, you know the Ice Cats are legends around this city, so for us to be able to honor them and wear those jerseys is really cool, just super excited to get going."

"Yeah, it's awesome to get out there and do some stuff for the fans is always nice," added Railers Forward Anthony Callin. "They support us well and this is kind of a big weekend for the city of Worcester. So for us to be able to go out there and represent that it's and honor."

The Ice Cats jerseys will be auctioned off online all weekend.
