WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross football team has their home opener Saturday, Sept. 7 vs UNH.

The Crusaders are looking to show balance on offense and cash in on opportunities against a very talented and tough UNH team.

"Well I think the biggest thing is we want to be balanced on offense," said Holy Cross head coach Dan Curran. "And get things going a little earlier than we did last week. I think we did a great job playing downhill in the 4th quarter, but I'd like to be a bit cleaner in the first two quarters. I think defensively just continue to build on what we did last week."

"UNH is a really good team they're a CAA team, similar to Rhode Island," added Holy Cross defensive end Joe Townsend. "They're going to be a really good oppoonent, a playoff contender. We have to stop the run, we have to worry about ourselves, eliminate any little mistakes. I think we just play our brand of football."

Holy Cross and UNH kick it off at Fitton Field on Saturday at 2 p.m.
