WORCESTER, Mass. — The Holy Cross football team, almost the entire team, has stayed up on campus this summer and worked out together, watched film together and hung out together.

They believe all three will help them be successful on the field this fall.

"The summer's going unbelievable," said captain and QB Joe Pesansky, "All the guys are back, everyone's working super hard, we go outside with the crew necks and the hats on, we're sweating, we're getting after it. It's great to see everyone working hard and getting better every day."

"I think the summer is a key aspect in team bonding," said captain and LB Frankie Monte. "So being here all summer is an advantage we have on a lot of schools. And Coach Grautski (head of football strength and conditioning) getting us all at the weights we need to be."

"I think the momentum we have, even from the winter and spring ball, has springboarded into the summer program," said Head Coach Dan Curran. "These guys are doing a tremendous job and maximizing every opportunity we have here."

Preseason camp starts in three weeks for Holy Cross.
