WORCESTER, Mass. - The Worcester County Saint Patrick’s Parade kicks off Sunday at noon, traveling down Park Avenue from Webster Square to Elm Park.

Parade Chair Erin Zamarro says everything is coming together. The parade lineup includes about 100 different entries from floats, bands, dancers and marchers. Thousands of spectators are expected to line the route. While last year's parade was sunny and fairly warm, it looks like we won't be so lucky this year with rain in the forecast.

"We are pretty much all watching the Weather Channel pretty regularly. It's a very tough call," she said. "It is really difficult to move the parade with that many people and that much infrastructure. It is really tough to move the parade. So typically, our motto is rain or shine."

The parade is still on. Zamarro said they will be marching rain or shine. It's only ever been postponed once in parade history, in 2019, because of snow.
