SHREWSBURY, Mass. - For many in Massachusetts, Thanksgiving means family and football, that's definitely the case for two families on the Shrewsbury football team.

Joe Pittorino is an assistant coach while, his son Fellix is a star running back.

"Being a coach for Shrewsbury has always been an honor of mine," Joe Pittorino said. "And being able to coach my son for four years is something I will never forget. I cherish these memories."

"I love it, my dad's been a coach of mine since I was in 5th grade," Felix Pittorino said. "He's not my position coach, but he gets to bond with my friends. My friends like him, so that's cool for me."

Mark Ellis is also an assistant coach, while is son Jett is a star lineman.

"Since I moved to Shrewsbury from Westborough, he's been involved with everything for nine years," Mark Ellis said. "Next year will be 10 years of him being a part of the Shrewsbury program, which is so cool.  And it's just a great honor to be able to do that with him, with his friends and the coaching staff that I'm a part of. I remember Coach Dubzinski going, 'hey, it's all about family,' and that's what it's truly been for me."

"I mean, it's just awesome," Jett Ellis said. "I've grown up on the field, I've been on the field my whole life. It's so special, go out and play, and when I play, I play for my dad. Working hard and I just want to make him proud. It's just awesome."
