DUDLEY, Mass. — Residents in the town of Dudley voted on which services they wanted to fund in a special election.
The reason behind the vote is the town's budget which is out of balance by more than $900,000.
Due to the deficit, many of the town's emergency and services were cut.
According to the unoffical results, voters decided to pay more in property taxes to restore the town's public safety services, the town's public library and fund the Dudley-Charlton regional school district assessment.
That means questions one, four and five passed.
Funding for the highway department and the general governmental and municipal services were voted down.
That would be questions two and three that failed.
Thirty-one percent of registered voters turned out for the election.
