WORCESTER, Mass. - An interpreter team is returning to the Family Health Center of Worcester.

As Spectrum News 1 reported Monday, the health care provider is taking a pause to regroup and rebuild its branches in Southbridge and Webster.

Family Health Center is funded largely through Medicaid and receives funding from the federal government. They had to recently cut services due to unprecedented economic challenges.

As of Monday, the City of Worcester is providing funding for the interpreter team to return to Family Health Center.

"These folks are mind you not just interprets, they're care ambassadors” CEO Lou Brady said. “They are a bridge to care to vulnerable communities. Their return is making a real impact and we're feeling it today."

The Family Health Center of Worcester’s Queen Street location remains open. The Webster and Southbridge locations will close in the coming months and it's not known when they will reopen.
