WORCESTER, Mass. - The Family Health Center of Worcester is closing its branches in Southbridge and Webster to take a pause to regroup and rebuild.
CEO Lou Brady said they serve about 2,000 patients at the Southbridge Medical Site, the Southbridge Dental and Webster Dental locations. He said they'll work with those patients to make sure they still receive the care they need when the offices close in the coming months.
He said over the past few years, they've dealt with unprecedented public health and economic challenges and in order to get back on track and meet the needs of the community, they need to take a pause.
He said right now it's not known when those locations will reopen.
"It’s dependent on our ability to work with local partners and collaboration to build a model that really works to deliver services in the right way for a community that desperately needs it,” Brady said. “It's also dependent on the funding that we're able to achieve. I know there is a commitment for investment and care for these communities and we are in conversations with those stakeholders."
The Family Health Center of Worcester's Queen Street location in Worcester will remain open.
