WORCESTER, Mass. - Preservation Worcester is in the process of relocating.
The organization is selling their headquarters at 10 Cedar St. and buying the historic Salisbury House at 61 Harvard St.
The Salisbury House is located next to the Salisbury Mansion. According to Preservation Worcester, the Salisbury House is an outstanding example of the work of Elias Carter, Worcester’s first major architect, and served as the home of two generations of the Salisbury family.
The organization said the move will put them in one of the most architecturally significant buildings in Worcester, give them a location close to other cultural organizations, and help them restore the 186-year-old property.
The Salisbury House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
