WORCESTER, Mass. — The Catholic Bishop of Worcester continued a holiday tradition by hosting a sit-down Thanksgiving dinner Thursday.

Catholic Charities of Worcester County provided the meals and delivered them to doorsteps Thursday morning. This year, the dinner was held at the Cathedral of St. Paul. The organization had nearly 500 volunteers who made the day possible.

Some volunteers showed up for their 20th year serving the Thanksgiving dinner.

"We have a really dynamic team and a lot of key positions," Bart Larkin, the facilities manager at Catholic Charities, said. "Everything is moving in a forward direction in spite of the supply chain issues and the COVID stuff."

"We're surging forward," Larkin added. "It's really thriving here in Worcester."

Worcester Bishop Robert McManus said they will be holding another dinner on Christmas.
