WORCESTER - A 21-year-old Douglas man and 18-year-old Worcester man were arrested on Wednesdayy after firing a paintball gun at pedestrians in Worcester.
Around 1:15 PM, Worcester police officers were dispatched to the area of 831 Main Street for a report of an assault with a dangerous weapon.
Police say an elderly female with a walker had been shot in the face by someone using a paintball gun. The woman's glasses had been knocked off her face, which was covered with yellow paint. She did not suffer serious injuries.
A second male victim reported being shot by a paintball gun on Queen St. as a blue Ford F-150 sped past him. He didn't suffer serious injuries, but had visible bleeding and welts, according to police.
A BOLO was issued for the vehicle and police stopped the truck on Lincoln St. near Goldthwaite Rd. Two men were in the vehicle and a paintball gun was located in the rear of the truck.
A third victim approached the officer to report the men had just shot paintballs at him on Lincoln St.
The operator of the vehicle is identifed as Sean Pinkham, 21, of Douglas. Pinkham didn't have a license to operate a motor vehicle and had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He is being charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (Paintball), Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon on a Disabled Victim, and Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
The passenger, John Slater, 18, of Belmont St in Worcester, is charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (Paintball) and Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon on a Disabled Victim.
Both Pinkham and Slater will be arraigned in court.
