WORCESTER, Mass. - The Department of Public Works & Parks [DPW] announced the opening of Worcester's bulk and yard waste sites to residents on Saturday, April 3.  

Worcester's three drop-off sites will be open on Wednesdays from 8:30 AM to 3 PM and Saturdays from 9 AM to 5 PM. The Millbury Street site is also open on Sundays from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Here are the locations below (proof of residency is required):

  • 1065 Millbury St. — Yard Waste, Recycling, Bulk Waste (by appointment, fees apply)
  • 290 Chandler St., across from Foley Stadium — Yard Waste Only
  • 370 Clark St., near the intersection with East Mountain Street — Yard Waste Only

Bulk drop-off is available at Millbury St. for a fee by appointment only on Wednesdays from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM and Saturdays from 9 AM to 4:30 PM. Appointments must be made 48 hours in advance. Residents must provide an itemized list of items being dropped off upon scheduling.

City employees will not be available to assist with removal of bulk waste from vehicles. Residents are required to arrange for their own assistance with large items. Face coverings are required when exiting vehicles.

The City also started its Spring Street Sweeping Program on March 1 with the cleaning of Major Arterial Streets, Monday to Friday from 11:30 PM to 7:30 AM.

Residential Street Sweeping begins weekdays Monday, March 29 from 7:30 AM to 4 PM. 

Residents are reminded not to place yard waste in the street. Vehicles are not allowed to be parked in the street during scheduled Street Sweeping. Vehicles that are not in compliance will be tagged and towed, and owners may be fined up to $50.
