WORCESTER, Mass. - A food pantry in Worcester put together a drive-thru food distribution on Saturday morning.

Bucky's Food Pantry inside Saint Bernard's Church welcomed multiple cars to their parking lot.

The drive-thru provides a socially distanced location for people to get what they need. It also provides social interaction and let’s people know there are people in the community who care for them.

The food pantry says they wanted to be able to help those in the community who are afraid of coming in because of the pandemic.

St. Bernard's Reverend Jonathan Slavinskas says they are blessed to receive so many donations.

Rev. Slavinskas said, "So many different people provide donations to the parish from big businesses, to small businesses, to individuals, to families. As you can see it's a whole family affair of people coming together, working with one another for members of our family which is the community."

If you are looking to donate, the pantry is in need of cereal and toiletries. Saint Bernard’s plans to have another drive-thru food pantry in the spring
