WORCESTER, Mass. - For Girls Inc. of Worcester, this bracelet was almost 250 years in the making.

Girls Inc. CEO Victoria Waterman said, "I've been fighting for this cause my whole career. And it's here. And now we can all believe what we've been saying for years: 'The glass ceiling is meant to be broken.'"

The nonprofit teamed up with jewelry manufacturer Luca + Danni to release the limited edition glass ceiling bangle.

The piece commemorates the nation's first female Vice President, Kamala Harris.

Luca + Danni's Brand Marketing Manager Ally Golden said, "We've made a conscious effort to support and empower women of all ages, which really aligns directly with the mission of Girls inc."

For the designers, it's more than a piece of jewelry.

Luca + Danni's CEO Amie Hansen said, "It can be a reminder to girls that they have other women supporting them. And that no matter how big the fight is, we can win the fight and achieve more than we have."

For Girls Inc., it's reason to celebrate. Now with Vice President Harris officially sworn in, they say the sky is the limit.

Waterman sayid, "Their voice matters. And they can do it. This is a possibility."

Five dollars from every bracelet bought will go right back into benefitting Girls Inc. of Worcester. And every graduating senior Girls Inc. member in the Worcester Public School system will be getting one this year.
