WORCESTER, Mass. - Israel's Consul General to New England made his first ever trip to Worcester on Wednesday.
Ambassador Meron Reuben visited the Jewish Federation as part of a program to deliver COVID-19 relief supplies, such as hand sanitizer.
Reuben says dropping off donations is a great way to meet with people in person, rather than connecting with the community through zoom meetings.
Reuben said, "Since I am new to New England and I am very interested in getting to know people and the different communities, not only the Jewish communities but all the communities. That is why I have come out today, personally."
Ambassador Reuben also visited the Berkshires on Wednesday.
He started on the job in November and says he wants to be able to reach out to as many communities as he can.
