LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The 2024 Pegasus Pins have arrived. The first shipment of the fan-favorite collectibles was delivered Friday, Feb. 23 to the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience on Main Street, the first location to sell this year’s festival pins.
Festival officials along with Evan Williams Bourbon Experience Artisanal Distiller Jodie Filiatreau celebrated the occasion by offering hand-dipped special edition bottles of Evan Williams Single Barrel Bourbon in a silver wax.
The special edition bourbon commemorates the 52nd edition of the pins and the 69th Kentucky Derby Festival, with a gold pin sealed in wax on each bottle.
This year’s design features the Derby Festival’s iconic Pegasus symbol, along with “150th” prominently displayed on the bottom of the pin for the 150th Kentucky Derby.
The 2024 Pegasus Pins are now available in the retail store of the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience. Pin collectors and bourbon fans can also purchase the commemorative bottles in the store.
Started as an awareness campaign for the Kentucky Derby Festival in 1973, the Pegaus Pin sponsorships are now one of four primary sources of funding for the festival.
