WALTON, Ky. — Sugar Ridge Family Farm sits in Walton and allows people to come hang out on weekends each fall for their fall fest. Manager Jamie Klosterman said the business has had to adjust and has noticed different trends this year. Klosterman said they’ve noticed prices have increased on things they use on the farm.

What You Need To Know

  • Sugar Ridge Family Farm has been open and serving people for five years and counting

  • Manager Jamie Klosterman said they open each fall on weekends with different fun fall activities

  • They’ve noticed more crowds of people this year, breaking records on numbers

  • She also said they had to increase admission prices from $8 to $10

“The cost of everything — the cost of our fuel to run the tractors, to grow your pumpkins, and your food supplies — everything has gone up,” she said.

She said for the first time in the 5 years they’ve operated, the farm has had to increase admission cost. What was once $8 is now $10. Klosterman said they try to keep everything as cost-friendly on the farm so people aren’t breaking the bank when they come. There’s a huge positive trend this year — more people.

“This year’s been record numbers for us,” Klosterman said.

She said they’ve seen a lot of new faces and returning faces and they want to continue to grow and expand on the business. Klosterman said it’s been a beautiful fall in northern Kentucky, and that could be adding to why more people want to be out this fall.

“It is overwhelming at times but it is great and it’s a good feeling to know all of our hard work is paying off,” she said.

The farm has a lot of different things to offer: hayrides, pumpkin patch, petting zoo, food, drinks, and other fun activities for people to enjoy when they’re open each weekend.
