BLINK is essentially an outdoor public arts festival. It runs for four nights, starting Oct. 13 and going through Sunday Oct. 16 this year. Light shows, drone shows, art, and more entertainment light up beginning at 7 p.m. each night through parts of Cincinnati.

Covington officials announced they too were taking part, with over a dozen installations taking over the northern Kentucky side.

“It will be interesting to see all the people it brings over here. People can see how much Covington has changed and improved over the past few years,” said Alex Korhonen, a lead bartender with Froshaus in Covington. Their business is offering light up swag and drink specials to match and celebrate BLINK.

Some fans were returning, and some were witnessing festivities for the first time.

“I’m really excited for all the lights and portraits and all the pretty colors,” Lillian Dykes said. She and her family were wandering around to look at it all.

Covington announced road closures and released a map of where to find their setups throughout the city. More can be found here.
