We are tracking Potential Tropical Cylcone 15 off the coast of Belize. It could strengthen into a tropical storm over the weekend. 


What You Need To Know

  • Potential Tropical Cyclone 15 could become Nadine over the weekend

  • Heavy rain is expected in Belize but no threat to the U.S. mainland

  • Another area of low pressure could near Puerto Rico has low odds of developing this weekend

Environmental conditions are becoming favorable for some development. A short-lived tropical depression or storm could form before the system moves inland over Belize and the Yucatan Peninsula on Saturday. 

Regardless of development, it’ll be a rainmaker for Central America. There is no threat to the U.S. 

 

A tropical wave is moving west, just north of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Upper level winds will limit the development of this system.

The next name on the list is Nadine.
