Heavy rain fell across all of Kentucky over the weekend, with some places getting more than five inches. Widespread flooding is ongoing early this week.

What You Need To Know

  • The downpours have finished, but flooding will continue

  • Many rivers in the state are, or will be, above flood stage

  • Do not drive or walk into floodwater

The rain was too much for the ground to handle, leading to overland flooding and streams spilling out of their banks. Rivers have been on the rise, as well, with many experiencing flooding early this week.

Here's how much rain fell at Kentucky Mesonet rain gauge locations through Monday morning.
