The National Weather Service In Louisville confirmed that a tornado touched down just west of Pewee Valley in Oldham County on Friday morning around 6:45 AM. The tornado was rated an EF-1 by the survey team with max winds around 100 mph and a maximum width of 300 yards.
The tornado tracked 8.3 miles across Oldham County doing damage to and even uprooting multiple trees. The roof of a porch was torn from a house and thrown about a hundred yards to the northeast. The gutter of another home was ripped off and thrown about 100 yards from the house. The tornado blew over a tree onto a house, but no injuries were reported. The damage path of the tornado ended just west of Ballardsville. Luckily, no fatalities were reported.
