LEXINGTON, Ky. - We are one day away from Kentucky's general election and President Donald Trump is coming to Lexington for a "Make America Great Rally." The President had promised to come to Kentucky to support Governor Matt Bevin who is running for reelection.

Spectrum News 1 was inside Rupp Arena prior to the rally for a security check.  A Make America Great banner hangs inside along with a number of American flags and patriotic bunting.

Outside of the arena, several hundred supporters lined up with tickets in hand.  They say they lined up early so they could get a good spot in the arena.  Some, like Gene Huber, have been camping out at Rupp Arena since Saturday and says this isn't the first time he's seen Trump.

"30 minutes into the rally he points me out and says, 'You, You come here.' I hop the stage like a 5th grader all fast, said Huber. "I hugged our president he gave the microphone and I spoke to the world. The way I carry the story is our president is the man of the people.  He understands it's the people that are in charge."

The event at Rupp begins at 7 p.m. but doors will open at 4 p.m.
