LEXINGTON, Ky. — Kentucky Volleyball won big in the 2024 Southeastern Conference postseason awards. The league named outside hitter Brooklyn DeLeye Player of the Year and Craig Skinner as Coach of the Year
DeLeye was joined by Emma Grome on the all-conference first team while sophomore libero Molly Tuozzo was named to the all-conference second team. Asia Thigpen and Brooke Bultema were also voted to the All-SEC Freshman Team.
DeLeye is the sixth Wildcat to win SEC Player of the Year, and this marks the seventh time a Kentucky player has won the award. The Wildcats have won the award six of the past seven years. Previous recipients include Sarah Rumley (2008), Leah Edmond (2018, 2019), Madison Lilley (2020), Alli Stumler (2021) and Emma Grome (2022).
This is Skinner's second straight season winning Coach of the Year and the sixth time in his career he's received the honor. He won the award in 2015, 2017, 2018, 2020 and 2023.
Skinner picked up his 300th career SEC win Wednesday night in Columbia, Missouri, as the Wildcats defeated Mizzou 3-1 to clinch the 2024 SEC title outright. Kentucky won its eighth straight conference title in 2024, going 14-2 in SEC play.
