  • In Warren County, there are five locations to vote early

Warren County Clerk Lynette Yates says there are five locations for early voting.

Yates said, “We have Ephram White Park, Phil Moore Park, Buchanon Park, Sugar Maple Square, and Living Hope.”

Yates says voting early is important if you do not have the time to vote in-person on Election Day. According to Yates, voting wait times can be much shorter for early voters.

Yates said, “On Tuesday, the lines kind of build. Save yourself some time and go ahead and vote early. That way you know you have it out of the way.”

Living Hope Baptist Church, located off of Campbell Lane, has been setting up for hours for early voters.

Deputy clerk Mallory Moran said, “We have to come in. We have to set up our pollsters, which our parks department helps us with. We have to set up the table, equipment and make sure our layout is good for all the voters.”

Early voting starts Thursday at 8:30 a.m. and will last until 4:00 p.m.

But before going to vote, Yates said it’s important to be informed on what or who you’re voting for.

Yates said, “Be an informed voter, know the ballot, know who you’re voting for, the constitutional amendments that are on the back of the ballot, make sure you’re aware of those and have read them. As poll workers, they cannot explain any of that to you.”

Early voting runs through Saturday.
