FBI are searching on a property in rural Nelson County. Property records show the property in Coxs Creek once belonged to Nick Houck, Brooks Houck’s brother. Brooks Houck was Rogers’ boyfriend at the time of her disappearance and was charged with her murder.

Drone footage from Wednesday showed crews concentrating the search on an area behind the house.

FBI Louisville told Spectrum News on Wednesday they would not be releasing any information about activity in Nelson County. The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office is assisting.

“This is still an ongoing (investigation). We have not found a body, and it’s what we’re here to do,” said Sheriff Ramon Pineiroa.

Last December, the Bureau searched a property in the Coxs Creek area. In 2022, law enforcement spent several days at the Houck’s family farm, where they used digging equipment and cadaver dogs in their search.

Two other suspects, Steven and Joseph Lawson, are charged with conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with physical evidence.

Another hearing is scheduled in early October to prepare for the trial, which is expected to begin next year.
