LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A record for the Kentucky Farm Bureau Education Foundation. It has distributed more post-secondary education scholarship money in its history.

  • The Kentucky Farm Bureau Foundation has given out almost $800,000 in scholarship funds

  • The money went to Kentucky students attending colleges and universities

  • 575 high school seniors received the money

In 2024, the KFB Foundation awarded 575 Kentucky high school seniors $790,950 in scholarships at the state and county level.

Eddie Melton, KFB President, said, “Each of the 2024 recipients represent the very best and brightest in their communities. Whether they choose to pursue agriculture education or other studies, we are pleased to continue our commitment to supporting them in their academic pursuits. We look forward to seeing the positive impact these young people will bring to our great commonwealth.”

Scholarships went to students attending Kentucky colleges or universities pursuing four-yer degrees in animal health/veterinary technology or a related field; students who come from farm families; students attending trade schools’ graduate students pursuing a graduate degree at the University of Kentucky Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment; students attending a Kentucky college or university and pursuing a four-year degree in horticulture or landscape architecture; and more.
