LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Workers at the Starbuck in Holiday Manor voted unanimously, 18 to 0, to unionize, joining Starbucks Workers United.

It is the seventh Starbucks location in Kentucky and fifth in Louisville to unionize.

“I hope the results show how close we are as a working team. How together our thoughts and feelings are. After some brief conversations with customers, I realize we can bring back a brightness we lost due to changes. Changes that drove us to finally unionize and vote,” said Tommy Parsons, a shift supervisor of eight years.

Starbucks Workers United said in the past week, workers at 14 Starbucks locations across the country voted to unionize, including locations in Cinncinati and Indianapolis.

The workers’ union said since 2021, over 470 Starbucks stores in 45 states and the District of Columbia have unionized, more than any other company in the 21st century.
