FRANKFORT, Ky. — The Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education approved tuition and mandatory fees for six public universities and the Kentucky Community and Technical College System for the 2024-25 school year. All six public universities will see increases in tuition and fees.

Kentucky State University tuition and fees were approved at the March council meeting, which will increase by 1.9%. CPE said its president would approve the University of Louisville’s rates because the school’s board meeting to discuss rates happened after the June council meeting.

The council also approved several new academic programs in the state:
- University of Kentucky, Bachelor of Arts in law and justice
- Murray State University, Master of Science in economic analytics
