LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The final round of the 2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club teed off Sunday.

From the first tee to the 18th green, golf lovers from all over were at the course to watch some of the best golfers in the world play their final round.

“It’s inspiring to see how many people come out to this from all over the world,” said Dennis Truman, who attended the final round. “I’ve got to see a lot of people, so it’s encouraging being a Louisville native to see so many new faces in town.”

It was a close match coming into the last day. Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa were tied for the lead after the third round. The competitiveness continued in the final round.

“Incredible leaderboard with a whole bunch of people that are really wonderful, stacked up against each other, so it’s been great golf,” said George Green, who came to Louisville from Nashville to watch the tournament.

The course was busy with people either following their favorite players or sitting at the 18th green.

“Today, we’re camped out at the 18th green so we can see everybody finish, especially toward the end of the day," Green said. "We’ll be here for seven hours, but it’s going to be a wonderful, fantastic day, and we’re really looking forward to it." 

The warm weather did not deter fans or dampen their spirits, with several expressing their excitement about being able to attend a PGA major tournament.
