LOUISVILLE, Ky. — All lanes on the Interstate 64 east ramps at I-65 and all lanes on the Clark Memorial Bridge have reopened to traffic.

Police reported two separate fatal accidents with pedestrians on the two high-traffic roadways. The first was around 6:22 a.m. when Louisville Metro Police responded to a crash involving a pedestrian on the Clark Memorial Bridge. The pedestrian’s injuries were fatal, and she was declared dead on site. The accident caused all lanes of traffic on the bridge to be closed for hours.

The second was about 6:56 a.m. this morning when LMPD responded to another crash involving a pedestrian on I-64 east and I-65. The pedestrian also had fatal injuries and was declared dead at the site of the accident. All lanes at the I-64 east ramps to I-65 were shut down four hours.

Trimarc reported both areas were clear as of 9:30 a.m. and traffic could resume.
