LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville Metro Police Department says reports of “active aggressors” at duPont Manual High School and Olmstead Academy North are both false.

Dr. Michael Newman, Manual's principal, sent a statement to parents saying, "We have received an all clear.  All students are safe.  There was not an active threat. At this time, information will be coming next on the sign out process for students/families. A letter will be released later with explanation of events."

LMPD responded to a call of an “active aggressor” at Manual around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. The University of Louisville Police Department issued an alert saying it was also responding to the situation.

Shortly after, LMPD responded to another report at Olmstead Academy North.

According to police, other cities including Evansville, Lexington and Cincinnati are all experiencing “swatting,” or prank calls to emergency dispatchers.

This is a developing story. We will add more details when they become available.
