The $1.37 million investment plans to provide 350 full-time jobs.

“We know a job is more than a number. It brings dignity to an individual, it brings security to a family, it brings more opportunity than the next generation. So Stellar Snack’s success is part of a new of prosperity we are seeing in Kentucky as we are becoming a national economic leader,” Gov. Andy Beshear, D-Ky., said.

Gina and Elisabeth Galvin started the health food snack company in 2019. The mother-daughter led business currently has two plants in Nevada and is now expanding to the over 400,000-square-foot building on Dixie Highway.

“It’s just the perfect home for us. Our bakery is a very involved process. What separates us apart from other bakeries is that we make a really quality and care-infused pretzel,” Gina explained.

Elisabeth is hopeful the plant will bring many positive characteristics to the community.

“It’s going to bring a wonderful smell of butter around here and it’s going to bring the community. We want to include them in our success,” Elisabeth shared.

Gina says the company is excited to call West Louisville Home.

“This facility is a remarkable one and, more importantly, nestled in this community is something we are excited to expand in,” she said.

The company currently distributes product to over 5,000 stores and will soon make pretzels in the commonwealth.

Stellar Snacks plans to start baking in the facility in Sept. 2024 with hiring expected to begin in March.
